Anti wrinkle injections – Commonly known as Botox,  are a non-invasive, quick, affordable, and effective way to help reduce and prevent wrinkle formation that provides natural-looking results, creating a refreshed and youthful look

What is Botox?

Botox is a neurotoxin which when injected carefully into the dynamic facial muscles, block the nerve receptors which cause expression lines and wrinkles. The decreased movement in the muscle places less stress on the skin helping you maintain a more youthful appearance. Botox is used to smooth out lines such as crows feet, Forehead and Glabella lines and lines down the side of the nose (bunny lines). These can leave you looking tired, angry and older than your years.

How do wrinkles form?

Wrinkles are a natural part of the ageing process. With age, our skin gets thinner and drier as we lose collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid and the skins ability to protect itself is reduced. Eventually, wrinkles, creases and lines form in our skin. Continuous muscle contraction is also another major contributor to facial wrinkles. continuous muscle movement causes ‘dynamic wrinkles’ which only appear when the muscle is used. If untreated, these wrinkles can become ‘static wrinkles’ which means they become permanently etched in our skin.

Botulinum Toxin Type A is prescription only medication, during your face to face consultation with our practitioner a thorough medical history will be taken. Results to be seen within 2 weeks and lasting from 3-6 months.

Anti Wrinkle Injections – Botox – main purpose is to temporarily improve existing lines, it can also be used as a preventative measure to help soften the expression lines that form when your face moves and put the formation of future lines on pause. Preventative treatment uses Botox to treat wrinkles before they emerge by slowing down the use of those muscles, preventing deep lines from developing.

Anti-Wrinkle Injectables can do more than just reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles; they can also be used to lift certain parts of the face and balance asymmetrical features.

Frequently Asked Questions

BOTOX © Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines — the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling and raising the eyebrows over the years. Your specialist will inject these muscles with BOTOX © to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of the frown lines between your brows, your crow’s feet lines and your forehead lines.

BOTOX©  Cosmetic is a technique-sensitive treatment. You can trust BOTOX©  Cosmetic to deliver subtle results when you are treated by someone who is licensed, trained, and an expert in facial anatomy. So you’ll look like yourself, only with less noticeable lines. No one should be able to tell you’ve had anything done.

Not at all! Many men make BOTOX part of what they do to care for their appearance.

Patients report that being injected with BOTOX© feels like a pinch. Ice can be used to numb the treatment area. Or, if you are concerned about discomfort, a topical numbing cream before administering your treatment can be applied.

Treatment requires minimal downtime. So you can return to your daily routine immediately.

You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours, with full results in 30 days

Results lasting up to 4-6 months for moderate to severe frown lines. Remember that results vary from patient to patient though, so your physician will plan your next appointment based on your results and aesthetic goals.

Due to a lack of clinical studies investigating the effects of Botox on pregnant women, we can’t be sure that Botox is safe to use during pregnancy. As such, the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) advises pregnant women not have Botox.
